Wow, well done to all the children for their wonderful Christmas plays. They sang beautifully and every word could be heard. You should all be very proud.
Class 1 - Ms Ingham (All Saints)
What a fantastic treat we had today. All the children went to St. Margaret’s and enjoyed a pantomime from M and M Theatrical Productions. They watched (and took part in) Pinocchio. What a performance it was brilliant, thank you M and M!!
School was closed today so that all our staff and a Governor could attend the St. Ralph Sherwin Feast day with our colleagues from the other 23 schools in the CMAT. Our CEO gave an input, followed by Jacqueline Rodden who is a member of the Trust Board.
We then had a fantastic input from the main guest speaker David Wells which was funny, thought provoking and inspirational.
This afternoon we had an uplifting Mass.
What a great day and many thanks to those that did a tremendous job organising the event.
Our choir were busy again on Sunday singing at the Old Glossop Victorian Christmas Fayre. Again staff ran a stall which was very successful. Once again many thanks to those who gave their Sunday afternoon up.
Our choir attended Gamesley Christmas Fair last week and some of our staff ran a stall at the event. Thank you to all involved.
Following on from the new gates and entrance, our new entrance door is now complete. It looks fantastic and is keeping our children safe. The area will soon be painted and we also have a new signing in system. We are really pleased with the work that has been done.
You may remember we recently sent old school uniforms you had donated to a school in Zambia. The school we gave the uniforms to is called Hope in Christ, its in the New Ngombe compound in Lusaka the capitol city of Zambia.
One of our parents friends run a small charity but they self-fund a trip to Zambia once a year; to take supplies and keep an eye on the two schools and one clinic they support. They also fund and install boreholes (this year they built another 11).
It’s called Oasis Relief Zambia, charity no. 1181996, and is on facebook if you want to see more posts/photos.
We think the children look fantastic in the uniforms and thank you for your donation. We hope to send more over when we can.
Some of our pupils attended the Parade today for Remembrance Sunday. They walked with the children of St. Mary’s before laying our wreath.
