18.1.21
From today, your work will now be set on the online learning platform Seesaw. Your parent or carer will have been sent your log in details. The Seesaw app works on many devices such as laptops, iPhones, android devices and Amazon Fire tablets. This will be a much easier way for you to show what you have been learning to your teacher and should mean that you don’t have to print out work unless you want to.
Teams meetings will still be happening Monday to Friday at 9.30am. Hope to see you there!
Miss H
11.1.21 – 15.1.21
I hope you have all had a fantastic weekend. I have some exciting lessons planned for you this week. If you can, join our class video call on Teams at 9.30am Monday to Friday where I will explain what tasks you have been set for each day and it gives you chance to see your friends.
PAS
Coaches who work with our school will be doing fitness videos on their YouTube channel. Steve will be doing ‘5 minutes of fitness’ and either Mark, Sam, Alex, Luke or Joe will be doing ‘skills for 5’!
Reading
Reading is super important for making you a better reader and writer. It can also be very fun too. There are some free ebooks on the Oxford Owl site you could read.
https://home.oxfordowl.co.uk/reading/free-ebooks/
If you have a Derbyshire library card, you can also register to borrow ebooks online here: https://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/leisure/libraries/ebooks/ebooks-emagazines-and-eaudiobooks.aspx
You are welcome to read any books you have at home too.

Monday 13th July
Well hello for the last time this year, class 2! I hope you have had a nice week and have been praying for the sunshine to return. This week I will not be setting any work as both the maths and literacy have been covered now. I have, however, posted two booklets, one maths and one English, for you to do if you would like to over the summer, these are just for fun though. I have also put on a link to the National Trust website, where you can find ’50 things to do before you’re 11 and three quarter years old’, which is full of fantastic things to do over the summer months. Some you can do at their parks, but also some lovely things you can do in your own home or garden.
Finally, I would like to say a big thank you to everyone in Class 2, and your parents, as you’ve all been amazing and so lovely throughout the year. I am very sad that I did not get to say goodbye properly, or in person, but I am sure I will see you again very soon. I hope you all have a fabulous summer and stay safe. I will miss you all very much.
Love Mrs Deering

There seems to be a problem with Hamilton this morning. Some are finding it difficult to access the website. I don’t know why this is happening, but if you press on the link a few times, it eventually downloads the work for the week. I would recommend saving the work once you do access the site, just in case this happens again.
Thanks
Mrs Deering

Hi everyone! This week we thought we would make some videos to go along with the maths that has been set. Please be aware that I am a little camera shy and this is my first time videoing a lesson, so it may not be perfect and my nerves may have got to me a little. However, I have tried my best and hopefully at the weeks go on the videos will get better in quality. I hope you are all well and are keeping safe! Over the weekend I have had a fantastic email from Emily. She has sent me some pictures of the things she has been doing while at home. It was lovely to hear from her so I thought I would share some of the things she has been up to.
On VE day, Emily dressed up as a child from the 1940’s with her family and enjoyed an afternoon tea with a virtual visit from her grandparents.
She was also extremely lucky to be given a Blue Peter Badge which she was very excited about. I can understand why she was excited, I didn’t manage to get one when I was a child, but I dearly wish I had.
Emily also wrote a fantastic book report about a book called Hetty Feather. I have never read this book, but now I’ve read Emily’s review, I might just give it a go!
Thank you so much Emily for keeping in touch and sharing your lovely pictures.
If you would like to share any photos with me, please send them to s.deering@allsaintsrc.derbyshire.sch.uk

Hello Class 2! I hope you are all well and have had a lovely half term in the sunshine. I have had a nice time. I took James on a very long walk up to Bleaklow Moor. He didn’t enjoy it, it turned out to be 14 miles long! I think he thought his feet would fall off. Anyway, here is this weeks work for you.
Miss you all loads, and don’t forget to send my photos so I can put them on the website.
