We took Year 6 out for a walk on the Sett Valley trail on Wednesday as a treat after SAT’S last week.

When we arrived in Hayfield it was a bit dull, but by the time we started on the walk the sun was coming out.

We stopped half way for snacks and let the children have time in a local park, then we were off again.

In New Mills we had lunch at the Heritage centre so the children could have a look in the centre.

Then it’s off to High Lea Park for exercise and fun before walking back to Hayfield.

It was a lovely day and the children had fun on the way, though there may have been a few aching feet at the end!!
